This won't be too long, but let's cover some of the interesting events that occured during Sunday night's noms.
Canada's in Control
As much as I'm opposed to outside influence in the BB House, this was a fascinating twist. It really broke the fourth wall, with Houseguests worrying about their edit and portrayal on the show. What really struck me was the conversation that took place immediately after the news was broken to the house, between Neda and Jon.
I know I've been saying this all season, but Neda is one smart cookie. Right away she realized the potential dangers of a Canada HOH and it was almost cute that she was worried (although she's smart to be paranoid). Luckily, Jon was able to calm her down; those two make a perfect pair.
Cocky, but in a charming way. |
Arlie took a completely different--and intelligent--route. He was cocky in his claims of controlling the house in a few weeks, but in a charming way. Arlie planned to wait and see what Canada wanted, and vowed to help them achieve it. So I imagine he'll now be gunning for his fellow First Five members.
Sorry for Sabrina
I actually did feel bad for Sabrina this week. Not because she was crying (that's the norm) but because she finally had good reason to be. Although others convinced (or tried) her that she wouldn't be nominated, she knew she was in trouble.
I felt a little regret for nominating Sabrina. |
Upwards for our Underdogs
Now that the First Five will hopefully lose someone this week (although as has been discussed elsewhere, if Kenny wins Veto and takes Andrew off the block, it may be Adel going up), things are looking good for our underdogs.
My four favorite Houseguests are Neda, Jon, Arlie, and Adel, and I really hope to see them shine in the next few weeks. I especially love the relationship between Neda and Jon; they're sincere and they're also an extremely powerful team.
I don't think it's wrong of Neda to decide that now is the time to make a move. As Jon said, Canada gave them the green light and a smart power play here could put them on top heading into the jury. That being said, they should leave the HOH winning to Heather or Adel or even Sarah (depending on how votes fall) next week, and try to remain out of the spotlight.
A quick sketch of how the alliances will fall
This will probably be totally wrong, but I'm going to make a prediction for the next week. Here goes nothing.
Andrew will get the boot this week. |
Can I just say...I hate Rachelle! She's a mindless puppet who thinks she's playing her own game and when she started crying before Arisa told them the final nomination, I wanted her to go on the block instead of Sabrina.
Alright...that concludes this rambling recap. Tune in tomorrow for some Survivor power rankings!
