Neda has been doing everything right and apparently was nominated as a pawn. |
I know I said I would just be recapping BBCAN once a week, but I think there'll be some times where I switch things up. And in a week where the HOH competition, nominations, and a lot of plotting took place on one packed Sunday night episode, we need an extra recap to cover it all. (Image credit to Slice)
Of course, the biggest (and saddest) news of the night was that my girl Neda was put on the block! Neda, NOOOOO! Why?! It seemed to come out of left field; Neda has been doing everything right and apparently was nominated as a pawn. But as we know, pawns go home all too often on Big Brother and I'm definitely worried for her.
Who nominated her, you might ask? None other than the new power-tripping, Tom-esque HOH Andrew, who won the "battle of the biceps," a competition that I feel was heavily slanted in the men's favor. Andrew, while annoying and drunk on power, is admittedly a better Head of Household than Paul was last week. He's established a strong "First 5" alliance of himself, Kenny, Arlie, Sabrina, and Sarah that has the dominant position in the house, at least this week. This is a group of people that I don't like very much, but I have to give them credit for their gameplay so far.
Speaking of Arlie, and of gameplay, credit must also be given to the fantastic and hilarious trickery Arlie pulled over the other Houseguests in the HOH comp this week. Arlie was stuck with possibly the strongest competitor in the house and did a masterful job of throwing the challenge in a way that made everyone feel sorry for him; they all bought his act! Arlie saw the golden potato several times and could have easily become HOH, so good on him for resisting the temptation and staying out of the limelight so he can play another day.

I have not been watching the live feeds so I don't know if these claims are true, although Paul denied the validity of them in a diary room confessional, so I'm not sure why he would be saying them. I do feel bad for Paul, because I think he's a genuinely nice person, but I think (and hope, if he's still up against Neda come eviction) that he will go home this week.
That's it for the mid-week recap; there should be a TAR E3 post from myself or Ethan coming to you soon and some more Survivor coverage over the next few days, so stay tuned!
